At SHN, we are committed to ensuring that our grants are used appropriately to support NHS staff in genuine need. To prevent abuse, we have implemented a rigorous application review process, which includes thorough verification of provided documents such as proof of employment, tenancy agreements, and financial statements. Additionally, we require detailed descriptions of applicants' financial situations and intended use of funds and funds will be paid directly to the agent or service provider of the accommodation. Post-disbursement, we conduct follow-up checks to confirm that the financial support is being used as intended. Any misuse of funds will result in a requirement to repay the assistance and could impact the applicant’s eligibility for future support. Our goal is to maintain the integrity of our program and ensure that our resources are allocated to those who genuinely need assistance.
